Updated 5th August 2020With the new Stage 4 Restrictions we have to meet with the new directives currently given out by the DHHS.
Under the ‘Permitted Work Premises for the purposes of the Restricted Activity Directions (Restricted Areas)’ instructions, podiatrists in a private practice setting meet the criteria for an ‘essential’ service and may continue to practice with some restrictions.
In order to restrict non-essential movement across the state podiatrists can only “provide services that prevent a significant change/deterioration in functional independence necessitating escalation of care (e.g. a requirement for specialist input/review, an increase in care needs and/or alternate accommodation, avoiding a hospital admission or emergency department presentation).” This means that routine services are not permitted and care must only be provided if the absence of, or delay of this care, would result in a significant change/deterioration in the patient/client’s functional independence necessitating escalation of care – as described above.
Updated 23rd JulyAs of today the 23rd of July 2020. Patients will now be required to wear a face covering when attending the clinic. If you don't have any face covering prior to coming to the clinic please contact our staff for further arrangements

Here at Maroondah Foot Clinic, the health and safety of our patients and team is our number one priority.
With the recent COVID-19 outbreak we have taken swift & significant action. We have raised our already high hygiene, cleaning standards and systems to a new level.
Examples of measures we have undertaken include:
- Meticulous cleaning measures after every patient. Sanitising with disposable cloths to wipe down common surfaces and handles after every use.
- Hand sanitiser on entry for all as well as hand sanitiser in every treatment room.
- We have increased Home Visit capacities so you can call up and organise a home visit if you feel uncomfortable coming into the clinic
- All staff will be wearing PPE
Everything is otherwise business as usual at Maroondah Foot Clinic and yes we are open.
If you do have any questions or are looking for some advice we’d love to here from you, just simply get in touch.
